4 Disney Movie Characters Who Should’ve Gone to Business School

There are a number of Disney movie characters who would’ve benefitted greatly from going to b-school, as they would’ve been able to use their education to make sound decisions, improve their lives, and become business owners. Here are 4 movie characters who should’ve gone to business school 

1. Aladdin

Instead of getting together with Jasmine and using the Genie to get ahead, Aladdin could’ve gone to business school to learn how to make something of himself. A common thief — and a pretty good one — Aladdin should’ve gone to business school so he could learn how to start his own security business.

He could’ve used his background as a thief to become a security specialist with his own company, setting up security for merchants and other people so they wouldn’t have goods stolen from them. As someone who knows all the tricks of the trade, he’d be the perfect guy to design a security system that would keep thieves like him at bay. By going to business school, he would’ve learned valuable skills and made important connections that would’ve allowed him to go from being seen as a petty thief to an impressive businessman.

2. Cinderella

If any movie character should’ve gone to business school, it’s Cinderella. Being treated badly by her stepmother and stepsisters and made to do all the cleaning around their house, she could’ve used some business savvy. Had she gone to business school, she would’ve gained self-confidence, learned what it’d take to start her own cleaning business, received mentoring and advice, and understood how to build a client base (of clients who actually paid her) and started her own cleaning empire.

Obviously, her life turned out okay what with marrying a rich prince and all, and she no longer had to clean ever, but going to business school would’ve been really beneficial.

3. Elsa

A lot of the movie “Frozen” would’ve been very different had Elsa chosen to go to business school rather than isolate herself by remaining in her room out of fear of her cryokinetic powers. Anna and Elsa’s relationship deteriorated and Elsa lacked control of her icy abilities, causing her to accidentally hurt Anna.

Had Elsa gone to business school, she could’ve learned much about how to turn her power into an asset and made connections that may have been able to help her get control of her ability or offered advice. In business school, Elsa would’ve gained business knowledge and she could’ve put that to good use by starting her own ice-making company, ski lodge, etc. which would’ve allowed her to use her power for good and not bottle it up and refrain from using it.

4. Robin Hood

Similar to Aladdin, Robin Hood is famous for being a thief, though he steals from the rich to give to the poor, rather than for his own self-benefit. While his mission is admirable, Robin would’ve learned a lot from business school as he could’ve gained the necessary knowledge and skills to “go legit.”

After b-school, Robin could’ve either gone into politics, which would have him brushing shoulders with the rich and influential, and be able to get them to consciously part with their money, or started his own business or philanthropic organization that would’ve given the rich a tax write-off if they gave money to his company to give to the poor. No matter what Robin ultimately decided to do, going to business school would’ve taught him a great deal, helped him make important contacts, and generally given him better decision-making skills going forward.

Business school is a worthwhile endeavor, even if you don’t think you want to go into a “traditional” business-type job — and these 4 Disney movie characters would’ve learned a lot and been able to really improve their lives had they been able to attend b-school.
